Building Homes...Building Hope

Habitat for Humanity Vermilion is a Project Committee of the Lloydminster Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization.
Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses are then sold with no interest charged.
Our goal is to provide families in need a "hand-up" not a "hand-out".

Daily Progress

This is what has been happening thus far:

On the Horizon- volunteers will be needed to help set up the Styrofoam blocks for the basement walls. At this moment we are not sure if this will happen on the weekend or Monday. Keep posted!

Friday, April 29th - there was no activity on the site today.... still waiting for basement blocks

Day 5 Friday, April 29th

Everyone is hopeful that the ICF blocks will arrive today (BR Eckels). It is uncertain whether any setup work will be possible today.

Day 4 Thursday, April 28th

Legacy and volunteers were to start the Styrofoam block (ICF) basement..............there have been holdups at the factory and if they got loaded on the truck, they could arrive this day.

As it turned out, no work was done on the site.

Day 3 Wednesday, April 27th

Forms were removed. Snelgroves were en route to dig the water and sewer lines.

Day 2 Tuesday, April 26th

Jim moved some more dirt. Legacy assisted by a couple volunteers put in the forms and poured cement for the footings.
