Building Homes...Building Hope

Habitat for Humanity Vermilion is a Project Committee of the Lloydminster Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization.
Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses are then sold with no interest charged.
Our goal is to provide families in need a "hand-up" not a "hand-out".

The Habitat Vermilion committee is pleased to present Brandy Robertson and daughters Entasia 6, and Ezaelia, 3, the partner family who will occupy the second  Habitat home later this year.

“At Habitat Vermilion we have conducted a long and meticulous partner family selection process,” said committee member Holly Day-Ferguson.  “Our reward is to have found the ideal family and introduce them to the community at large.”  Transplanted from Ontario, the Robertsons have been living in Vermilion for  the past two years.  Ms. Robertson is employed by FOCUS as a special projects co-ordinator.

The partner family presentation will take place at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 29, at 4717 — 48 B Avenue (just north of Rona) and there will be a viewing of the 1,000 square foot home.

While still under construction, the second Habitat home is a significant legacy made possible by a generous, supportive business community, volunteers, individuals, churches and clubs who continue to play a key role in the development of the project.
